Duke Hospice Bereavement Services invites you to participate in a Lights of Remembrance on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 6:00-7:30 pm.
Duke HomeCare & Hospice
4321 Medical Park Drive
Durham, NC 27704
The Lights of Remembrance program provides a unique opportunity for each of us to remember and celebrate those who have died, but remain forever in our hearts. In keeping with the holiday season, luminaries will be featured during the program to honor those who have gone before us and to celebrate the love and light that these people brought into our lives.
This year’s program will include music, poetry and time for personal reflection. It is our hope that the brilliance of the luminaries and the warmth of your memories will remind you of the enduring power of the relationship you have with those who have died.
To participate, a minimum donation of $35.00 is required for each luminary you dedicate in memory of a loved one. Your donation will support our bereavement services. For each contribution, a luminary and commemorative placard will be featured during the ceremony, and you will receive the placard and printed program as a keepsake.
With your donation, Duke Hospice Bereavement Services will continue to provide support to all members of our community. Our individual counseling sessions, support groups and annual Service of Remembrance are available to anyone in the community, regardless of whether or not our hospice services were used. Our outreach to local children provides grief support to more than 100 children and teens each year through support groups and individual counseling. Donations are gratefully accepted, even if you are unable to attend the Lights of Remembrance virtual event. We appreciate your support in meeting the needs of grieving people in the Triangle community.
We hope that you will join us on December 10 for this special gathering to remember and celebrate those who have enriched our lives in so many ways.
