I recently accepted the challenge of participating in this year's Annual Angels Among Us 5K. It's amazing to think that the race will be the 15 year mark from my surgery for an acoustic neuroma brain tumor! I am so thankful for the support I received during that chapter in my life. I'm also thankful for the world-class medical team that took me in at Duke Hospital and the decades of previous research that allowed my surgery to be so successful.
The funds raised at this event will support cutting-edge brain tumor research. At Duke, ground-breaking lab research is translated into treatments for patients more quickly than anywhere else. Your gift will give Duke's investigators the resources needed to push their research efforts at a much faster rate.
