For the past 31(!) years, the Mangum for Ross Team has been actively involved in raising money for the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke. We began this endeavor when a very sweet boy, Ross McDaniel, was diagnosed with a brain tumor and later tragically died at the age of seven.  Some of our fundraising events over the years have included community dances, talent shows, hot dog dinners, 50/50 raffles, silent auctions, high school lacrosse play-days, wine tastings, and dance performance benefits.  These events, along with donations from people like you, enabled our small team to raise over $600,000 for the Ross McDaniel Children's Endowment - an amazing amount!

     Please join us and the researchers who have dedicated their lives to fighting brain tumors at our biggest event, the Angels Among Us 5K and Walk for Hope on Saturday, April 26th at the corner of Erwin Road and Flowers Drive on the Duke Medical Center campus.  We would appreciate your support either by attending the Walk or by making a donation to our Team.  We are tireless in our ongoing goal of providing Duke with additional valuable research funds in the hope that no one else will have to endure the pain of losing a loved one like we did.
