Nine years ago when my best friend was diagnosed with a brain tumor, we were all shocked. She is pretty much like a sister in my family! I began to pray for her, her parents, her husband, and her kids. We were so relieved to get updates from her and to hear about the great care that Duke was providing. Her surgery went well and her follow-up care has been wonderful.

She decided to rise to a challenge issued by her church in October; to register for the Angels Among Us 5K and to raise funds for a great (and recently personal) cause. So, I have joined her team and together we will take another journey and help raise money for the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center.
