Kristen was diagnosed with glioblastoma in September of 2018. Kristen's positive attitude and the loving support of family and friends have helped our family navigate this challenge. We were directed to the Duke Brain Cancer Center for treatment where Kristen has had surgeries and has been on clinical trials. We are so thankful for the wonderful staff including Dr. Allan Friedman, Dr. Annick Desjardins, the nurse practitioners, nurses, research team, and everyone else who has taken part in Kristen's care. They are doing amazing things to fight this disease. “Angels Among Us” is a fabulous event, providing support so that this staff at Duke can keep up the great work.
