This year, I'm participating in the Angels Among Us 5k & Walk of HOPE to support children and adults battling brain tumors. This event celebrates life, courage, and strength, and funds the ongoing work of the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center. Your support can help fuel the research that leads to a cure. This event is very personal to me since my friend Jason was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2021.
On November 3, 2021, Jason collapsed at work. He had two seizures, a stroke, died, was brought back to life, and diagnosed with Brain Cancer. Not just Brain Cancer, but Glioblastoma, the most aggressive form of Brain Cancer. Three days later, the doctors at Duke performed brain surgery to remove the tumor.
Jason has always said that he is not fighting this battle just for himself and his family, but for everyone that will receive the same dreaded diagnosis. With your donation, you are not only supporting Cancer Warriors like Jason, but all those that face the same fight he has.
