My dad Kenneth Robert Combs was a survivor of a brain tumor. The side effects of his successful surgery took away his ability to run, and if you knew him, you’d know he was a champion runner and coach and running shoe store proprietor. He lost the ability to eat normally and travel became much more difficult. He never gave up. 

I also walk for two beloved cousins by marriage. 

We don't know why yet, but some veterans have higher risks of brain tumors than the general population.
