I recently accepted the challenge to participate in the Angels Among Us 5K and Walk for HOPE. 

This walk is in honor of survivor Nicole McGuinness.  I have known Nicole since she was my next door neighbor, and just 8 years old.  The news that she had a brain tumor broke my heart, and I cannot imagine what it did to her family.  Nicole got a miracle!  Through her treatment at the Tisch Brain Tumor Center, Nicole was able to go into remission which is not the usual outcome for patients with her diagnosis.  Through it all, her family was strong and their faith never waivered.  Now it's up to us to help others in their battle with brain cancer, and to help support their families.

Established in 1937, The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center is one of the oldest brain tumor research and clinical programs in the United States and is a destination for patients seeking the most advanced treatments.
