Its hard to believe that its been more than nine years since I was a patient at Duke awaiting a brain tumor removal. Now, my return trips for MRIs have been stretched out beyond once a year. At a previous oncology appointment, I overheard the man checking in next to me at the front desk say he was from Texas. Then he met and hugged several family members in the waiting room. I was reminded of how lucky I am to have a place like the Duke Cancer Center in my back yard.

God has answered my prayers for more time, and giving back a little is the least I can do to show my gratitude. Please consider joining or supporting the Earning Our Wings team as we line up for the Angels Among Us 5K for the tenth time in 2026 (yes, the 10th time!!).
