Ahoy Matey's,

My name is Grant Lafoon, and in 2015 I was diagnosed with a Grade IV primitive neuro-ectodermal tumor (PNET). I graduated from East Carolina University with a major in Construction Management (Go Pirates) in 2012 and was working as a home builder in Raleigh, NC where I grew up. I underwent a stem cell transplant followed by extensive radiation and chemotherapy at Duke Medical Center, and have since been cancer free for 10 years (and counting)!

Now that I have weathered the storm, I am building a wonderful life with my wife and two dogs, Hazel and Gus, and our newest family member…our son Harrison who is 11 months old and the joy of our life!
