Angels Among Us 2026

Great Scott!

It’s been just over three years since my brain cancer diagnosis.  Having an inoperable tumor in the middle of my brain didn’t leave me with a lot of treatment options.  However, thanks to the genetic testing that the Duke Cancer Clinic conducts on solid tumors, it was discovered that my tumor has a genetic mutation that made me a candidate for a relatively new targeted drug therapy, used in other cancers.  Thanks to the two pills I take each day, along with love and support of family, friends and the amazing team at the Duke Cancer Clinic, I am living a wonderful life.  Julie, Ethan and I are particularly thankful to you and the Duke Cancer Clinic’s Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center for helping us navigate through some very challenging times.  Research matters!  Community matters!  Hope matters! We are forever grateful to you all!
