12th "Annual" Tri for Mom

It is hard to believe it has already been four and a half years without my amazing mom.  I still miss her so much!

Due to COVID, I skipped a couple years of races/fundraising, but I am making up for those missed ones by doing at least three races this year.  I have already done the Lake Monteciello sprint triathlon and the local Road and River Relay.  In August I will be doing one of my favorite races, the Luray Triathlon.  It is a beautiful course.  I will be doing the Olympic distance which is 1500m swim, 25.5 mile bike, and 6.1 mile run.  In September I will also be doing the Buchanan Tri in mom's hometown.

Every race I do is for Mom, I know she is always so proud of me. In addition to racing in honor of her this year, I am also racing for Peggy, my stepmom's Mom who we lost way too fast to an aggressive brain cancer.

I am raising money for The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke. This is where Mom was treated for 9 years after she was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2009.

The funds raised will support cutting-edge brain tumor research. At Duke, ground-breaking lab research is translated into treatments for patients more quickly than anywhere else. Your gift will give Duke's investigators the resources needed to push their research efforts at a much faster rate.

I am asking you to help by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many!
If you would prefer, you can also mail your tax-deductible contribution (make checks payable to:  Duke University - Angels) with my name in the memo to the following address:

Tisch Brain Tumor Center-Angels

I greatly appreciate your support! Together we can make a difference!!
