In 2011 my Mom, Jeanine Duncan, was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma brain tumor and was treated at Duke medical center. The following year, my brother Chris, was also Diagnosed with a Glioblastoma and was also treated at Duke medical center. My mother passed away in 2014 and brother in 2019. The strength my mom and brother showed during their battle will inspire me forever, and the pain watching someone go through this will never be forgotten. I pray that one day a cure is found for this viscous disease, and am confident that Duke is doing everything possible to do this.
I am managing the Scranton RailRiders and our team is town playing the Durham Bulls. I am honored and privileged to have have a group of coaches and Staff members join me in this 5K that means so much. Together we are the Fighting Porcupines and are running and raising money in honor of my brother Chris, my mom Jeanine, and countless others who have fought this disease or are fighting it, along with their family members.
Please join our team or donate to help us meet our fundraising goals. This is special. Thank you!
