Team McKay
In March 2022, we learned that our dad, Doug McKay, had glioblastoma, a fatal brain cancer with an average survival length of only eight months.
Our dad faced his diagnosis with immense courage and spirit. Although he underwent brain surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, he died less than three months after being diagnosed. We love our dad so much and miss him every day.
Glioblastoma is one of the most complex, deadly, and treatment-resistant cancers. We are proud to participate in this year's Duke Angels Among Us 5K, and to raise funds to help researchers make progress in the treatment of glioblastoma and other brain tumors.
