Thanks for visiting the Gliobusters fundraising page!!  We are honored that you would be considering supporting this amazing cause.  This is a cause that is near and dear to my heart.  In 2020 during a routine MRI as part of a checkup at a neurology appointment the images found a small spot in my temporal lobe.  After many follow up MRI's and a move to NC the radiologist suggested that the spot was consistent for low grade glioma.  Nothing brings fear faster than reading those words on a report.  One of my worst fears my entire life was the thought of having a brain tumor.  I was referred to Duke and the amazing team at the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center.  After an initial appointment it was decided to perform a biopsy of the mass and find out what it really was.  The results came back positive for a low grade Ogliodendroglioma.  This is a rare type of malignant tumor that with the help of Duke and the Brain tumor center's research and the generous dontations from people like you, allow people to receive the best care and the latest treatments to fight this and other types of brain cancer.  I have an amazing support group in my wife, daughter, and my family.  They can't do everything though.  We need help to find a cure for this disease and other cancers and tumors.  Our goal this year is to reach a team amount of $500.  You can donate in many ways.  You can join our team and participate in the 5k fun run and walk at Duke University in Durham NC, you can purchase some really awesome GLIOBUSTERS apparel to be part of the team, follow the link: https://www.customink.com/go/fjd0-00cs-hgrg Anything that you can give helps!  Thank you for taking the time to read my story and from the bottom of my heart thank you.
