Steve Cordell, a Child of God's, a son, a father, a Pa, a brother, the City of Henderson's Fire Chief, and a friend...lost his year long battle with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer on January 29, 2023. 

Steve fought his battle with cancer as he fought every battle in his life...with God's Mercy and His Power.  He lived out his life verse, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."Philippians 4:13, in every battle he faced, most especially cancer! Steve never asked "Why?", and he never gave up his fight.  He wanted to be cured, but he also wanted everyone to know that all Fire Fighters, risk their lives every day to save others.  Their greatest risk is not the risk of fire, but the risk of cancer.  We will continue Steve's fight to bring AWARENESS and PROTECTION to all firefighters...and ALL people who suffer from this horrific disease! We will be CORDELL STRONG in our fight, and we will always remember...
