Cruisin' for Susan

Susan was an extraordinary human. She was loving, kind, selfless, and hilarious. She could always find the bright side of any situation and was a bit of a prankster. =) To know Susan was to love her.

Susan was diagnosed with glioblastoma in July 2013 and underwent brain surgery at UNC Rex. When she came out of remission, she was accepted into a drug trial program at Duke. Though Susan ultimately passed away in January 2015, she was happy to receive care at Duke that could potentially mean a brighter, longer future for others diagnosed with glioblastoma.

Did you know that the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke is one of the oldest brain tumor research and clinical programs in the United States? It's a destination for patients seeking the most advanced treatments. The Center understands how overwhelming a brain tumor diagnosis can be, and with their compassionate staff and researchers, they help over 5,000 patients each year navigate this challenging journey.

The funds raised at this event will fuel groundbreaking research and cutting-edge clinical trials.

Thank you—because of your support, we're one step closer to a cure.
