It’s been almost two and a half years since my brain cancer diagnosis. Having an inoperable tumor in the middle of my brain didn’t leave me with a lot of treatment options. However, thanks to the genetic testing that the Duke Cancer Clinic conducts on solid tumors, it was discovered that my tumor has a genetic mutation that makes made me a candidate for a targeted drug therapy. Thanks to the two pills I take each day, along with love and support of family, friends and the amazing team at the Duke Cancer Clinic, I am living a wonderful life. Julie, Ethan and I are particularly thankful to the Duke Cancer Clinic’s Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center for helping us navigate through some very challenging times, and where I continue to receive incredible care. We are forever grateful to you all!
