I have recently seen the worry on my niece's face after her daughter was born a preemie. And if I can help alleviate that worry for other families and children in any way, including while they wait for care, I want to do it. As my great-niece still fights for her life in a hospital like Duke Children's, I feel the heaviness of my brother and his family, and I'm praying for a miracle outcome. I'm dedicating this Radiothon to helping the kids at Duke in my great niece's honor. I believe every child, including my great-niece, deserves the best care and support that Duke Children's provides, and the NEX playground video system will just make their experience even better.

How It Will Help Duke Children's Patients
An emergency room can be stressful for kids and their families. Plus it is an inside space that can feel confining. However, a NEX playground video system can keep kids, parents, and siblings moving while waiting. Since movement is essential to maintaining and improving the mental health of all people, but especially children, this active movement gaming system promotes activity while reducing anxiety in an otherwise boring but tense environment.
