On March 6th, 2023, my life took an abrupt turn when I received a Stage 3 Colon Cancer diagnosis. This single moment altered my existence permanently. It's often said that a life-altering event like a cancer diagnosis can paradoxically be seen as a blessing. In my case, I've found truth in this sentiment. While I grieve for the life I once had, there are certain aspects of that life I don't long for, as they were likely contributing to my gradual decline.

Presently, I am living with a heightened awareness. I consciously savor each breath, delight in the fragrance of roses, relish the sensation of wind against my skin, take leisurely walks, and spend more quality time beside my children, among other newfound appreciations.
