Saving Uranus

Welcome to Saving Uranus! Thank you for being part of this group which has included family and friends over the many years of CRUSH and now back after a covid hiatus.  We have many new faces this year and a new "captain".  For any that don't know, Connor's mom Margot is a physician assistant at Duke Cancer Institute and has worked for 20 years now caring for with patients with GI cancers.  CRUSH was an effort born from providers at Duke wanting a way to provide community outreach as well as celebration with patients and survivors. CRUSH also fundraises funds used to support various projects that support research and current and future patients at Duke.  It has been a labor of love since 2014, up until the last even became virtual March 21 2020.  Thank you for being part of the this years event and part of our  Saving Uranus fun.

This years team is made up of O'Neill family, work family of Margot's, and friends of the O'Neill made through both running and soccer.  We are so pleased to have the support and look forward to a fun and fast morning! My apologies that we didn't do new t-shirts this year but maybe next year! We are making a couple of posters and would love to do a group photo near the stage just before the awards ceremony (or near the colon if there is one). Feel free to make a Saving Uranus poster to share as well. We have several volunteer on the course as well so we'll be cheering for you around the race!  Go Saving Uranus!  See you this weekend! - Margot on behalf of Saving Uranus

PS- here are a couple articles from prior years where Saving Uranus got a mention.  We have won best team name more than once as well!
