Dear Family and Friends, 

We are writing today to make a request. Bobby was first diagnosed with Colon Cancer in 2012. Since then it has been a crazy adventure of periods of remission and reoccurences. Even with cancer Bobby has always been so positive. 

Bobby Voldish is a swashbuckling pirate, a sarcastic soul and a hilarious human. He is a lover of all things Disney, so much so that he held up a parade in The Magic Kingdom to propose to his fiancee. His humor and positive nature are a joy to so many friends, family, and coworkers. 

We are so proud of how hard he fights this pesky cancer thing daily. We would love it if you would consider either joining us on this 5k or donating to our fundraiser. Colon Cancer is the second deadliest cancer in adults, 60% of which are preventable with regular screening. While those are some scary facts there is some great news as well. There has been a 30% decrease in both diagnosis and death related to Colon Cancer and there are over 1 million survivors. Your donation to Duke will promote education about Colon Cancer screenings and prevention. It will help the doctors bring new, promising studies to patients. It could save so many lives.
