In Memory of Adelaide Davis
On August 15, 2025, our beloved Adelaide James Davis passed away at just two years old after a courageous battle with Spindle Cell Rhabdomyosarcoma - a rare and aggressive form of pediatric cancer. Adelaides tumor began in her cheek and rapidly spread to her brain and spine. Because of the aggressive nature of the disease, she began chemotherapy immediately. Tragically, Adelaide passed away only three weeks after her diagnosis due to complications from chemotherapy toxicity.
Adelaide was pure joy and sunshine. She was happy, silly, and full of personality - the kind of little girl who could light up any room with her laughter and energy. Her playful spirit and sassy charm brought smiles to everyone who knew her. She loved to dance, play, and make people laugh, and she had a special affection for Stitch and Minnie Mouse. Adelaides light, though her time with us was far too short, continues to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her.
With the support of Duke, we have started this fundraiser to honor Adelaides memory by raising awareness and supporting research aimed at finding safer and more effective treatments for this devastating cancer. Our hope is that through increased awareness and funding, other children and families will have better options and brighter outcomes in the future.
