The Duke Cancer Support and Survivorship  Center has been such a special part of my life. Most recently, a couple of staff members were personally with my family during my brain surgery, visited me in the hospital and staff has been so integral in my recovery. 

As a board member, each year I raise money for the center by getting donations for The Pink Ribbon Yoga Retreat which was created 21 years ago by my dear friend, Jean Costa. I have been on her committee since the beginning and enjoy help planning the retreat each year. The retreat is for breast cancer patients and survivors to come together in a safe and nurturing environment with gentle yoga, art therapy, meditation, yoga dance and other healing modalities.  We offer the retreat at a discounted price and complete scholarships to those who need financial help. Our participants leave feeling hopeful and joyful with a lifelong support system of caring friends. 

The majority of the cost for the retreat is covered by donations and registration fees.Your donations are needed to help provide scholarships and discounted registration fees. The cost to send a person to the retreat is $700 and we offer discounted rates of $450. Please consider making a gift today!
