The Pink Ribbon Yoga Retreat started in 2005 with help from the Duke Cancer Patient Support Program in Durham, North Carolina. This retreat is for women who have survived breast cancer and want to be as healthy as possible. It combines yoga, health information, healing activities, new friendships, and fun to help them feel refreshed and ready to heal their body and spirit.

I have been fortunate enough to attend this retreat for the past 6 or 7 years (I can’t ever remember how long) and have been a member of the planning committee ever since.

I will be attending the 20th annual retreat this year at Montreat, starting August 16. with these wonderful women, developing friendships and being in such a supportive group. Going to the retreat is so uplifting because of the friendships I have developed over the years.

Through the support of donors, the Pink Ribbon Yoga Retreat is able to offer an affordable reduced rate of $350 for this life changing three-day retreat that would typically cost $550. Additionally, there are scholarships for those in financial need. This retreat is 100% run on donations. We take pride in saying no woman is ever turned away because of lack of funds.
