Join me in my efforts to support Ovarian Cancer Research as I participate in the Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer Walk & 5K Run.
My journey began around February 2022 when I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. It’s known as the Silent Killer because it is often found late, when there are few options. Who would have known that some constipation and bloating were the symptoms of such a terrible disease? Turns out nobody would have known. There isn’t a good test, like a blood test or swab, to detect it earlier during routine physicals. The treatments are limited as well. I’ve already been through surgery and multiple rounds of chemo. My prognosis is to have multiple more rounds of the harsh, poisonous chemo.
I WANT TO IMPROVE THE ODDS OF GETTING A BETTER TEST AND TREATMENTS! Duke is making progress with new and better treatments and continuing their goal of finding an accurate screening test and with your help it will become a reality.
Any amount, great or small, helps to raise money and awareness in our fight against ovarian cancer. I greatly appreciate any support that you can afford and will keep you posted on my progress.
Once again, thank you for your generous support! Together we can make a difference!
