September has always been a special month for me. It holds the birthdays of loved ones and ushers in my favorite season, fall. But in this last year, September took on a deeper meaning - it became the month I was diagnosed with Stage 3B Ovarian Cancer. That day was one of the hardest of my life, but by God's grace, this September I get to stand here and say: I am an Ovarian Cancer Survivor.
September is also Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, which makes it even more meaningful to raise awareness and celebrate life, strength, and community.
I would be honored if you'd join me on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 10:30am for the annual Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer Walk at Sanderson High School in Raleigh, NC. Together we'll walk in honor of survivors, those still courageously fighting, the precious lives we've lost, and the family and friends who carry us through.
Team Ashley's Ova-Achievers wouldn't be complete without you. Let's walk in faith, in hope, and in victory - together.
