Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer Awareness Walk & 5K Run

Hi! Help out Amanda's Pals!

Join me in efforts to support Ovarian Cancer Research as I participate in the Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer Walk & 5K Run.

My name is Amanda Ireland-Desmond and I am an ovarian cancer survivor. I was diagnosed in May of 2012 with Stage 1A ovarian cancer. I was very lucky! The tumor was huge but they caught it early. I had surgery to remove the tumor. I monitor my health and visit my oncologist every few months to make sure I remain cancer free. I run and walk to raise awareness for ovarian cancer and hope to help raise funds for research so it will be easier to get early diagnosis for anyone impacted by ovarian cancer. Please help support me and my pals in this walk/run. Even a small donation helps! Or feel free to join our team!!! The more the merrier!

Thank you for visiting my Ovarian Cancer Awareness page!  During these challenging economic times, the need to come together as a community could not be stronger.  Any amount, great or small, helps to raise money and awareness in our fight against ovarian cancer.  Duke is making progress with new and better treatments and continuing their goal of finding an accurate screening test and with your help it will become a reality.  I greatly appreciate any support that you can afford and will keep you posted on my progress.

Once again, thank you for your generous support!  Together we can make a difference!
