"We love Duke PTCT Family Support and everyone at Duke Children's / Unit 4A. They were there for us in ways we didn't even know we needed during the extremely difficult transplant process. Family Support Services provided so much to us including patient and caretaker meals, thoughtful items for patients, and meaningful gifts and gestures throughout Brody’s lengthy hospital stay. It's those creature comforts that, at least for us, helped us find some light during an extremely dark and stressful time for our family. Today Brody is walking, running, and laughing through life and we feel extra grateful for everyone on Unit 4A"

"The hospital stay and care after transplant that we have all gone through is very hard on a person and on their family. The Family Support Program helps provide assistance for the families and kids who have had rough days and bad weeks because they connect with the kids in a beautiful way. The staff in Family Support also make the kids feel happy with special activities and special visits from people they love. They provide for them in whatever way they can to make them feel special and loved. The Family Support Program is a group of people who will be there for you in any way possible. If you are a family or a kid going through this you are a fighter and you are strong and you got this and you are being cared for by others who will help you get through."
