The Duke University Sickle Cell Center is excited to partner with the UNC Comprehensive Sickle Cell Program to raise awareness for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) in our community.
We are hoping for a brighter future for patients with SCD, and we need your help. The Duke Adult and Pediatric Sickle Cell programs are raising money to support patients with Sickle Cell Disease who receive care at Duke. The funds will be used to support direct patient services. Please consider joining us by forming a team to play in our "Full Court Press for Sickle Cell" Basketball Tournament Fundraiser. Funds raised by teams who register on this site will be split between the Duke Adult and Duke Pediatric Sickle Cell Programs. This event is a partnership with the UNC Comprehensive Sickle Cell Program, and any teams who register on the UNC Full Court Press site will be fundraising for UNC.

Read about a few of our incredible patients...

"My experience since day 1 of coming to clinic 2N has always been great! While I despise going to most medical offices (anxiety inducing) this place feels familial. I love all of my providers especially Dr. Oyedeji and Joy. During some of my roughest moments physically everyone in 2N including the receptionist has shown concern and provided the care I needed at that time!!"

About the Duke University Sickle Cell Center
The Duke University Sickle Cell Center offers comprehensive services to patients with Sickle Cell Disease and other hemoglobinopathies throughout North Carolina. Pediatric patients are cared for at the Duke Children's Health Center Hematology Clinic where we provide comprehensive and compassionate care for children and young adults with cancer and blood diseases. Sickle Cell Disease primarily impacts Black Americans and has historically been under-funded, under-researched, and under-treated due to systemic racial disparities.
