New Team Captain Information

We’re honored to have your support as a team captain for the Rainbow of Heroes Walk and look forward to celebrating our heroes together. As a team captain, we’re excited to see your team come together and to hear the heart behind your support of the Duke Pediatric Transplant and Cellular Therapy (PTCT) Family Support Program. We encourage you to invite your friends, family, and community to join the fun, walk alongside you, and support this meaningful cause.

See the step by step guide below on how to create a team.

Pick a Team Name. It could be named after a patient or loved one, or something that reminds you of them. Get creative!

Register Your Team using the yellow "Create a Team" button on our website. Include your story and share photos on the Team page about why the Duke PTCT Program is important to you. Encourage your team members to customize their individual pages and share stories, photos, or videos.

Recruit family, friends, and neighbors to join your team or donate to support your heroes!

Fundraising is not required in order to create a team. Although the Rainbow of Heroes Walk is the largest fundraiser for the PTCT Family Support Program, it also serves as a reunion for patients, families, caregivers, siblings, medical team and the PTCT community to gather and celebrate our heroes.

We will honor all teams and supporters (in person or in spirit) at the Rainbow of Heroes Walk on September 27, 2025. If you have any questions about forming a team or fundraising, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Duke PTCT FSP team via email.

Returning Team Captain Information

If you have created a team for the Rainbow of Heroes Walk in the past, you know that this is part of what makes the Walk so special. You can reactivate your team page from last year's walk by logging in with your username and password here.

Join an Existing Team

If you would like to join an existing team, go to the Join a Team Page and search for your team. If you were a part of this team last year, you can reactivate your page using your username and password to login.

Team Spirit

There is a special energy when a community comes together to support one another. Teams are encouraged to create t-shirts, wear matching colors, socks, or hats to celebrate their hero! A photographer will be present at the Walk to take team photos.
