I treat infants, children, and adolescents, as well as adults, with congenital heart disease, who have cardiac arrhythmias, syncope, and aborted sudden death; those who have or need a cardiac pacemaker or defibrillator, and those who need treatment of their rhythm problem with catheter electrophysiology study and ablation. I also evaluate and treat congenital and acquired heart disease in infants, children, and adolescents. It is my privilege to care for each patient and family. Sudden cardiac death in children is a worldwide public health issue that is caused by a variety of heart problems that are silent. Discovery and treatment of the heart problem and preparation for heart emergencies in schools are keys to preventing sudden death in our youth.
