It is that time of year again where a group of my fellow cyclists here in Indiana complete a 100 mile ride to support an organization or individual of our choice.
This year I am dedicating my ride to Jonathan Levin and the Duke Cancer Institute. Jonathan is a longtime friend whom I met in 1998 when I held the role of Assistant Treasurer at Eli Lilly and Company. As you know, Jonathan is currently battling pancreatic cancer in his home state of New York...and the battle is real. He and I have remained friends for over 20 years and is on the very short list of people for whom I would do anything. I am confident that you feel the same way about Jonathan.
I fully recognize that this year has brought significant financial, mental and physical challenges to us all in the form of job loss, virtual learning, and a painful dearth of in-person contact with friends and family…just to name a few. Despite these challenges, Covid will not stop cancer and we will not stop battling for Jonathan.
