The Men’s Health Screening event is held in partnership with Lincoln Community Health Center. The goal of this community outreach program is to provide FREE screening services to men who are at high risk for life-threatening illnesses.
The cancer screenings are intended for men between the ages of 40 and 75 who have never been diagnosed with prostate cancer, skin cancer, colon cancer, and other chronic diseases. Although the cancer screenings are designed for the older population, other chronic illness screenings such as hypertension, diabetes, and HIV/Hepatitis C are available for men younger than age 45. Local community organizations also attend the event to provide attendees with valuable information and resources that could help improve their health outcomes.
Participants with concerning findings from the Men’s Health Screening event are provided access to Patient Navigators that will assist the men with engaging in their care and help establish a Primary Care Provider or Medical Home to address their health concerns.
