Join us for our first annual 100-yard Kids’ Dash. This event, for children ages 10 and under, features a timed run with each child getting a race bib. Watch your little ones run through the timing chute and see their photo displayed on the Precision Race timing app. Each child who participates will receive an award. This Child Run event is $10 and you can register by clicking on the yellow "Register" box above.

About the 5K Run

5k chapel run.jpg

The Angels Among Us 5K run is a competitive certified course professionally timed by Precision Race. Enjoy rolling hills as you run through the beautiful Duke campus, by the Duke Chapel, and the Nasher Museum of Art. The race begins and ends at the main event stage located on Flowers Drive and is guided by the Duke and Durham police.

If you choose to walk the 5K route, please note the police can only block streets until the last 5K runner finishes, which is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. At that time please walk on the sidewalks and obey traffic laws for pedestrians.

About the Walk of HOPE

The Walk of HOPE begins at the main stage and is led by our pediatric survivors followed by our adult survivors. There are two route options for you to choose from this year. The short route goes by the Duke Cancer Center (Medicine Circle), then back towards the event on Flowers Drive. The second route goes by Duke Cancer Center, continues through the Sarah P. Duke Gardens, and then returns to the event on Flowers Drive.

While both routes are wheelchair accessible we recommend that you choose the short route around the Duke Cancer Center since the Sarah P. Duke Gardens have gravel pathways.
