How are you able to offer such a low cost for the retreat?
The cost for the retreat would be $550, but thanks to the support of donors, we are able to extend a low cost of $350. Additionally we are able to offer scholarships to those facing financial barriers.
What does the registration fee include?
Registration includes lodging, meals, and all activities on our schedule.
How easy is it to get around at Montreat Conference Center?
Montreat is located in a 4,000 acre cove of the Blue Ridge Mountains, with relatively mild, but varying weather. Casual, informal clothing for a range of weather conditions is suggested. Don't forget an umbrella, sweater, or your comfortable walking shoes.
The campus is hilly with plenty of stairs. If you have limited mobility be sure to let us know so we can make arrangements for you.
What are rooms like?
Rooms in the Assembly Inn are equipped with WIFI and air conditioning. Some rooms have queen beds, while others have singles. Most guest rooms do not have televisions and none have mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee makers, hair dryers, or shampoo and conditioner.
What are the meals like?
Attendees will dine in the Galax Dining Room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They strive to accommodate special requests/ dietary restrictions but are limited in their offerings. All meals are served buffet-style, using fresh, quality ingredients with many options locally sourced.

Will yoga supplies by provided?
Yoga mats, yoga blankets, yoga blocks, and yoga straps are available for your use. A survey will be sent prior to the retreat where you can reserve the above items.
What items should I bring?
Toiletry items: shampoo/ conditioner, hair dryer, lotions, sun screen, etc.
Lawn chairs for bonfire
Loose comfortable clothing, including some warmer items for early morning yoga.
Rain jacket
Sleepwear
Journal (optional)
Remembrance Tokens (A small item- a photo, medal, shell, piece of jewelry/ ribbon/ fabric, found objects from nature, or a letter- to keep with you during the retreat.
