The Pickle for Pink fundraising event was created to bring together a community of men and women to raise money for breast cancer research, education, and patient care programs at Duke. Pickleball, a highly social sport that engages players of all ages, is the fastest growing sport in America. Breast cancer continues to be the most common cancer affecting women worldwide. This fundraising event will bring together two passionate, dedicated and like-minded communities to raise money to improve the lives of patients with breast cancer.
We will begin with a singles tournament Friday morning. The tournament will continue at 8:00 AM on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th. Saturday evening, we will host a "Player's Party" and exhibition match featuring some of the best local players at the Duke Faculty Club. This showcase event will offer event participants an up close viewing while enjoying beverages from Wicked Weed and local food trucks.
