Event Day
Angels Among Us begins with a 5K run through the Duke campus, followed by a Walk of HOPE around the medical center campus and the Duke Gardens. A family-friendly event, Angels also offers a silent auction, fun activities for children, food vendors and much more. Awards are given to the top 10 fundraising teams, top newcomer team, and top 5 T-shirt designs.

Duke Medical Center Campus -- Corner of Erwin Rd. and Flowers Dr.
7:00 am – 5K Run Registration Opens (for those not registered online)
7:50 am – 5K Line Up – competitive runners, then recreational runners
8:00 am – 5K Run Begins
8:45 am – 5K Run Refreshments provided by Panera, Diamond Springs Water, and Fresh Point Produce
9:00 am – Walk of HOPE Registration Opens (for those not registered online), Food vendors available
9:00 am – 5K Run Awards
9:30 am - Kids DASH - 100 yard run for kids 10 and under (register online)
10:30 am – Survivor’s Recognition, Angel Team Awards, Check Presentation
11:15 am – Walk of HOPE (through the Duke campus and Sarah P. Duke Gardens)

Registration Information
Register Online Online registration closes midnight Thursday, April 20th. You may register at the event on April 22th.
Registration Form to mail with your check made payable to Duke University-Angels.
Please put your team name on the memo line. Mail-in registrations must be received by April 18th. Mail by April 8th.
Registration includes t-shirt, chip and official time for "competitive" runners and awards for eligible winners.
Pre-registration fees are non-refundable.
5K Run Information
Map of 5K Location - Corner of Erwin Road and Flowers Drive on the Duke Medical Center Campus.
Bib Pick-up For Runners Only:
NOTE: Bib number pick-up is optional and only for 5K entrants.
Walk entrants do not need a bib number.

100 yard run for kids 10 and under (must be registered)
Walk of HOPE
The Walk of Hope begins at the main stage and is led first by our pediatric survivors followed by our adult survivors. The first leg (under 1 mile) goes by the Duke Cancer Center (Medicine Circle), then back towards the event on Flowers Drive. The second leg of the walk (approx 1.5 miles) takes you through the Duke Gardens.
The walk is wheelchair accessible but the Duke Gardens has gravel pathways.

This is the finale at our event but food trucks will be staying after the walk.

Contact Karen McDaniel at kbm1776@gmail.com, if you have a special craft item, gift basket, gift certificates, etc., that you'd like to donate to the silent auction. Your talents have always made our Silent Auction fun and fabulous. Payments on silent auction winnings are not tax deductible.
NO PETS: Pets are not allowed at the event or in the Duke gardens except for registered service animals
